Dereham Youth Achievements Awards 2003

On Monday 14^th July 2003 The Memorial Hall in Dereham was filled with children, young people and parents, all waiting to receive awards.  The majority of the children present were collecting awards for the towns art competition, but another group were being awarded special recognition for their achievements.

The Dereham Band were delighted to be represented by two young men who have worked hard both musically and as bandsmen.  Thomas Brand currently plays 3^rd cornet with the band and is making great improvements with his playing; Thomas Middleton is the bands’ percussionist and has also represented the Youth Band on the committee.  Both of them are good ambassadors for the Band and give us hope for a long and successful future for the Band along with our other young players.

Certificates were presented by the Towns Mayor, Mrs. L  Monument.
