London & Southern Counties Regional Competition

On Sunday the 21st March 2004 the band travelled to compete in the London & Southern Counties Regional competition.  The Band had not contested at this level for many years and after months of rehearsal were looking forward to performing to the best of our ability.  After an early start (06:30) we arrived at Stevenage in plenty of time for a last minute rehearsal before proceeding to the venue for the draw.  We were drawn to play first of the 21 bands and before we had chance to think about nerves it was all over with the rest of the day to listen to the over bands before the results were announced at 4:30pm.  Our position in the contest at the end of the day was given as 13th.

For some the day was just too much !!!!!!
